Rajeshwari Sachdev

Rajeshwari Sachdev is an Indian actress from Mumbai who started her career on stage doing plays with IPTA. She has worked as an actor in Hindi, English, Marathi and Punjabi cinema and is best known for her role in Shyam Benegal’s film Sardari Begum (1996), for which she won the 1997 National Film Award for Best Supporting Actress. In addition to this, she is also recipient of the State award, Screen Award, MATA awards for Best Actor. She has also worked in Bertolucci’s ‘Little Buddha’. Apart from acting Rajeshwari is a brilliant classical dancer having been a student of Bharatanatyam for 14 years and has cut 3 albums as a singer. She has also acted in TV shows like ‘Margarita’, ‘Balika Vadhu’ and hosted shows like ‘Antakshari’ and ‘Caravan’.
